welcome to cherokee trail volleyball

The great thing about being a part of cougar nation is that you get to be a part of a program and school that thrive on building tradition and excellence...  This means that you are committed to hard work and dedication not only on the court, but off the court as well ... It means playing in front of a huge crowd of supporters ... It means playing against the best teams in the State ... It means wearing the school colors with pride ... It means doing your best in all that you do...

  • off season training

Preparation is the key to maintaining a top-notch volleyball program. The emphasis for our off-season training is to focus on allowing all athletes to be mentally prepared for the season, as well as getting everyone in shape to compete at a high level while avoiding injury.

  • preseason camps

CT Volleyball Camps are some of the best around! Camps are specially designed to create a positive learning environment for everyone who attends.

Various skill camps are offered over the summer at ct and are an excellent way to become a part of our cougar nation!

  • team camps

During the summer, there are opportunities to be invited to Team Camps with our program. Prospective athletes must be invited to participate. Participation in team camps does not guarantee a spot on a CT Volleyball roster in the Fall. Prospective players are eligible, based on availability, provided they are currently participating in the off-season.

  • player evaluations

Prospective athletes who are interested in making a CT volleyball roster must attend player evaluations. Player evaluations take place over two to three days the first week of school. Each player receives a try-out number. Student athletes will be objectively evaluated by the entire coaching staff plus neutral volunteers. Players will be scored on a 1-5 scale for technical skills attitude (hustle, positivity, grit) and athleticism (vertical, agility, stamina, strength).

  • pre-participation requirments

Athletes will NOT be allowed to try out or practice until online registration is completed through the ct athletic department.

All prospective players must pay the athletic registration fee and have a current Physican, parent and student signed physical/eligibility form. Physicals are valid for one year (365 days) from the date of the last exam and must cover the sport season.

  • rostered and ready

once player evaluations are complete, our coaching staff will extend offers to select athletes for roster spots. players will have 12 hours to accept and return a signed player and parent contract before being officially added to a roster.

volleyball is a team sport where everyone works hard together toward a common vision The goal of the coaching staff is to place players in the best situation for the success of the program first, then each team, and finally, the players’ individual development.

Competition for a team uniform, playing time, and/or a starting position at cherokee trail is intense. We believe that selection to a high school team is an honor and privilege. ctvb offers four levels of teams: vasity, jv, sophomore and freshman teams. players who do not abide by the player contract may be asked to leave the program.
